Samuel Sutton Award

The Sixth Samuel Sutton Award for Early Distinguished Scientific Contribution to Human ERPS and Cognition will be award at EPIC XV. The Awards Committee will be chaired by David Friedman, Director of the Cognitive Electrophysiology Laboratory at Columbia University.
We are requesting nominations for the Samuel Sutton Award to be presented at the 15th International Congress on Event-Related Potentials in Man (EPIC) to be held at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA from April 22 – 25, 2009. Any ERP scientist engaged in active research dealing with human ERPs and cognition for no more than five years since receiving the doctorate or finishing research training is eligible for nomination. Anyone wishing to propose a person for this award should submit the person’s name, along with a brief statement as to why the nomination is being made. Nominees will be contacted and requested to furnish additional materials, including curriculum vitae, reprints and other documentation in support of their contribution to human ERPs and cognition. The award carries a stipend of $2000. The awardee will be given the opportunity to address the Fifteenth Meeting of the International Congress on Event-Related Potentials in Man (EPIC) in April 2009 (April 22nd to 25th). The deadline for receipt of nominations is September 30, 2008.
